Web Dev Project Manager

The Role

We are seeking a Web Dev Project Manager to oversee website and digital-development projects from initial planning through delivery and post-launch follow-up.

You will build and maintain project schedules, coordinate designers, developers, content teams, and other specialists, and ensure that requirements, dependencies, approvals, and deadlines remain visible throughout the project.

This role requires strong organization, practical technical understanding, and the ability to manage both front-end and back-end contributors. You will not be expected to personally design or develop websites, but you should understand web-production workflows well enough to identify risks, ask the right questions, and maintain quality.

You will use cloud-based project-management and collaboration tools to create clear accountability, resolve blockers, and ensure that projects are delivered accurately and efficiently. And all of the above should be done with the latest AI approaches to enhance productivity and accuracy.

What You’ll Work On

• Plan and manage website projects from discovery and requirements through development, QA, launch, and post-launch review
• Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, task dependencies, priorities, and delivery forecasts
• Coordinate designers, developers, content teams, SEO specialists, and other project contributors
• Translate project requirements into clear tasks, responsibilities, deadlines, and acceptance criteria
• Monitor progress, identify risks and blockers, and escalate issues before they affect delivery
• Manage communication, approvals, feedback, and handoffs across internal teams and stakeholders
• Coordinate quality assurance across responsive design, functionality, forms, content, links, tracking, and browser compatibility
• Ensure that revisions, technical issues, and launch requirements are documented and resolved
• Maintain accurate project records, status updates, meeting notes, decisions, and outstanding actions
• Improve project-management processes, templates, workflows, and documentation over time

Tools & Technical Mastery

Strong candidates demonstrate proficiency in:

• Cloud project-management tools such as Wrike (which we use), Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, Jira, or comparable platforms, utilizing all available AI options for enhanced functionality
• Website-development workflows, including design, front-end development, back-end development, CMS implementation, QA, and launch
• Project scheduling, dependency management, workload planning, and deadline tracking
• Requirements documentation, task briefs, acceptance criteria, and change tracking
• Website quality-assurance processes across desktop, tablet, and mobile experiences
• Content management systems such as WordPress, Webflow, or comparable platforms
• Collaborative documentation, file management, and communication tools
• Basic understanding of domains, hosting, forms, integrations, analytics, tracking, and website performance

Experience with bug-tracking tools, staging environments, browser-testing platforms, and AI-assisted project documentation is valuable.

Strong technical fluency should be paired with disciplined organization and clear communication.

Who This Role Is For

Strong candidates typically:

• Have 5+ years of experience in project management, including experience in a web-development, IT, digital agency, or software environment
• Heavily utilize AI for project management, quality assurance, and SOP management
• Have successfully managed website or digital-development projects through launch
• Have experience coordinating developers, including back-end or technical teams
• Can build realistic schedules and manage dependencies across multiple contributors
• Understand how design, content, development, QA, hosting, and launch activities connect
• Can identify incomplete requirements, technical risks, and delivery blockers early
• Maintain strong attention to detail across many tasks, deadlines, and project changes
• Can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Are comfortable holding contributors accountable while maintaining constructive working relationships
• Communicate clearly and professionally in English

A related degree or project-management certification is valuable, but relevant experience and demonstrated delivery ownership are more important.
