Reports to:American Creative Director

We are seeking a Senior Video Editor & Motion Designer who brings exceptional mastery, refined taste, and systems-level thinking to post-production.

This is a pure editing and motion role — no on-site shooting. We are looking for a specialist, not a generalist. You will own the transformation of raw footage, brand assets, and creative direction into polished, high-impact content across digital platforms.

The role combines creative judgment with workflow discipline. You will not simply execute edits; you will improve how video production operates inside of our organization.

What You’ll Work On

  • Editing long-form and short-form video for digital and social platforms
  • Professional audio editing, sound design, and music integration (dialogue cleanup, mixing, leveling, basic mastering)
  • Creating motion graphics and animation using After Effects
  • Color correction and finishing (Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve)
  • Building reusable templates and scalable editing systems
  • Leveraging AI-powered tools for transcription, rough cuts, visual enhancement, and workflow acceleration
  • Maintaining high aesthetic standards aligned with US-market expectations

You will be encouraged to:

  • Make creative decisions independently
  • Optimize workflows for speed and reliability
  • Use AI as augmentation, not replacement
  • Elevate both visual quality and production efficiency

Tools & Technical Mastery

Strong candidates demonstrate high-level proficiency in:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • DaVinci Resolve and/or Final Cut Pro
  • Professional audio editing and mixing within NLEs (and/or Adobe Audition)
  • Motion graphics systems and animation principles
  • AI-assisted video tools and workflow automation (such as Descript, Adobe Premiere AI features, Adobe Enhance Speech, CapCut AI tools, Runway, Topaz Video AI, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, iZotope RX, OpusClip, Wisecut)

We value tool mastery paired with judgment. Speed without taste is not sufficient.

Strong candidates typically:

  • Have 4+ years of professional editing and motion experience
  • Demonstrate refined visual taste and strong pacing judgment
  • Produce work that meets US-market creative standards
  • Think in systems and scalable workflows, not just individual timelines
  • Are curious about emerging AI tools while maintaining independent creative control
  • Prefer ownership and accountability over task execution
  • Maintain high personal standards and require minimal supervision

What You’ll Gain

  • Direct exposure to US-market creative standards
  • Opportunity to shape scalable post-production systems
  • Performance-based financial upside tied to impact
  • A high-trust, no-drama environment focused on quality over noise

How We Evaluate Fit

We care less about certificates and more about:

  • Portfolio strength and consistency
  • Editing judgment and narrative clarity
  • Motion design precision
  • Workflow discipline
  • Ability to clearly explain and defend creative decisions

The process includes:

  • Portfolio review
  • A paid editing test
  • A conversation focused on judgment and workflow thinking
